Momentum at NeoCon 2026
Chicago, IL
6/8/26
We were back at NeoCon with Momentum for the third year in a row to showcase their newest collections and collaborations with Michael Ford, Autex, and B+N. We helped concept and developed the creative direction and visual language of the new Michael Ford campaign, and used our new concepts to inform the overall showroom design for this year's NeoCon. In the spirit of Michael Ford's strong community focus, and the variety of collaborators who brought the showroom to life, we concepted the campaign to be"Shaped by Many", it captures how individuals can shine on their own, but can come together to create a community larger than themselves.
On top of all of the amazing work, and great collaborations, the icing on the cake was Momentum winning Best Showroom at NeoCon . Thanks again to Momentum team, Michael Ford, B+N, Autex and NeoCon for helping us shape something special!
In addition to our overall campaign creative direction, we created a variety of digital assets for web and social to promote Momentum sponsored events at NeoCon. We took a cue from Michael Ford's sampling process, to sample images, brand logos, and Michael Ford's own patterns to create ads that highlight each days event. In the showroom itself, we created an interactive lego wall for showroom visitors to participate in a shared moment. This idea not only incorporates the community, and collaboration echoed in our Shaped by Many theme, but is also a direct nod to Michael Ford's use of legos, in his work as an architect and designer. Additionally, we created an ombre pattern inspired by his Bronx Composition pattern shown on the couch in the Hi-Fi lounge. For Momentum’s Club Autex silent disco on Tuesday night, we designed and screen printed posters featuring Michael Ford’s patterns as giveaways to the first 50 in attendance. Printed locally at Chicago’s Spudnik Press.
Inspired by the musical themes throughout Michael Ford's patterns Momentum paired with Karen Large and Stephanie Strickland to create original music based on the artwork. We were tasked with helping visualize this process, and designing a way to communicate it to listeners in the Hi-Fi lounge. Check out an example from Michael Ford's Cypher Pattern.
