The Make and Co team spent some time over at The Green working on a new mural project, design and illustrated by Jesse Hora . We wanted to create something that felt right at home in the park, celebrating the outdoors, the local landmarks and the general vibe of the a beautiful summer day at The Green. When Jesse was designing the first drafts, we looked to the surrounding streets for inspiration. We ended up weaving in nods to some iconic nearby spots, like the Old Post Office, Union Station, and the curves of the Chicago River. To tie it all back to the space itself, we blended those landmarks with the architechrutal elements from the 320 Canal building.

This piece is really just a shout-out to Chicago’s public spaces. The Green is such a great spot for events or just hanging out on a nice day, and we wanted the art to reflect that easygoing energy. Whether you’re stopping by for a neighborhood event or just cutting through on your morning walk, we hope it adds a nice pop of color to your day.

Thanks again to the entire team at The Green and Adele Hink for assiting!
